What is a Vegan Diet?
A vegan diet is a type of vegetarian diet that excludes all animal-derived products, including meat, poultry, fish, dairy, eggs, honey, and other animal-based ingredients. It is a plant-based diet that focuses on consuming foods that come from the plant kingdom.
In a vegan diet, individuals primarily consume fruits, vegetables, legumes (such as beans, lentils, and chickpeas), whole grains, nuts, and seeds. These food groups provide a wide range of essential nutrients, including carbohydrates, proteins, healthy fats, fiber, vitamins, and minerals.
I have been vegetarian (egg free food as well) for more than 2 decades now. I have created this simple collection by either skipping the dairy based products or swapping them with easy subs.

FAQs on Vegan Food
Legumes, Beans, Nuts, peanut butter, Tofu, Lentils and fresh fruits all make a complete healthy vegan food group.
Yes, absolutely. Vegan Recipes are made using vegan food, which are essentially the fresh fruits and plants. That means the food is naturally rich in fiber and low in bad fat/ cholesterol (which is not the case when one east non vegetarian food). Having said that eating in moderation and balancing the nutrients, is the key to a healthy life style.
Nuts, Peanut Butters, seeds, Soy milk, legumes and tofu are rich source of proteins for vegans.
