Easy Eggless Dessert Wheat Pie Crust Healthy Dessert Kids Friendly Recipe


For Pie Crust- Wheat Flour, Ghee, Water, Salt, Baking powder For the Filling- Boiled Sweet Potato Puree, Milk, Condensed Milk, Sugar, Ghee, Spices like cardamom and cinnamon

Step 1

Boil Sweet Potato in a pressure cooker for the puree. While it boils, preheat oven at 200 deg C and knead the dough for pie crust.

In a large bowl, add wheat flour, ghee, salt and a pinch of baking soda/powder. Knead a stiff dough. If you like soft crust, add more ghee or butter.

Once dough gathers, keep it as a large ball and cover it while you prep the filling.

In a bowl, add boiled sweet potato and mash with a fork. Add sugar, ghee, milk, condensed milk and mix it well to make a smooth paste.

Now the dough is ready to be blind baked. In greased pie shells, spread the dough till edges and bake for 10 min at 200 deg C

Add Filling and bake again for 15-20 min or till the filling seems baked.

The Baked Sweet Potato Pie looks delicious. Serve it warm with a topping of your choice.
