Vegan Gluten Free How to cook Tasty Brown rice with cilantro & lime on stove and what is the difference between white rice and brown rice 

PREP TIME: 20-30 MIN

Brown rice Cilantro Olive Oil Lemon Juice Salt If you have left over brown rice, you may use that as well. 

COOK  TIME: 15 MIN

Step 1

Wash the brown rice under tap water and soak for about 30 min. Brown rice takes a bit longer to cook than white rice. Depends on which brand you are using!

While brown rice are soaked, you may chop the cilantro and squeeze fresh lemon juice. In a pressure cooker, add olive oil, add brown rice.

Step 3

Add salt and water to the rice. Ratio of rice  to water is : 1: 2.25. Pressure cook for 2 whistles on full flame and simmer for 10-15 min. Then switch off.

Step 4

Look at the fluffy brown rice cooked so well in pressure cooker. DOn't release the pressure.

Step 5

Top the warm brown rice with cilantro and lemon/ lime juice and enjoy!
