-
- Choose beetroots that are firm, smooth, and vibrant in color. Avoid beets that are soft.
-
- Beets are full of mud. Wash the beetroots thoroughly to remove any dirt or debris. Trim off the leafy tops, leaving about an inch of the stem intact. You can peel the beetroots if desired. I always use peeled beets in my recipes.
- You may use apples if you like more sweet and to balance the bitter flavor that comes from beet in the Ratio 4:4:2:1 for apple, carrot, orange/sweet lime and beet.
-
- Cut the beetroots into smaller pieces to fit into your juicer chute easily. You can mix ingredients while juicing.
- This juice won't taste very sweet but has flavor from all the components. We like it without sugar. The definition of sweet may vary for you. Feel free to add refined sugar, honey or maple syrup if you like it more sweet.
