- 2 Laung(cloves)
- 2 Black pepper Sabut
- 1 teaspoon Haldi powder (Turmeric)
- 2 teaspoon red chilli powder
- 2 teaspoon Desi Ghee
- 2-3 bowl Water
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 1 teaspoon Jeera
- 1-2 small Eliachi (cardamom)
- a pinch Heeng (Asafoetida)
- salt as per taste
This is the simplest version of Khari Khichdi. Those looking for weight-loss may also include lots of vegetables like Peas, carrot, cauliflower, etc (Fine chopped) and can reduce rice -portion as well.
