INGREDIENTS

Wash and rinse yellow lentils till you see clear water. Soak them for about 25 min.

Once soaked, they look swollen and are ready for blending.

Add soaked moong dal to blender along with green chillies and ginger root.

Step 4

Blend the moong dal to make a smooth batter. Add water as required.

Add salt and spices to the batter and mix well. Add water to make thin pancakes or chillas.

Spread a ladle full of moong dal batter on a iron tawa and spread it in circular motion.

Step 7

Apply ghee and once bubble appear, check the edges, they would start leaving tawa. Flip to cook from the other side.

Serve the crispy Moong dal chilla with green chutney and enjoy!
