Chana Dal Tomato Onion Garlic Green Chili Spinach Leaves (fresh sorted and blended in a paste) Can be added as chopped  Desi Ghee Salt and spices

COOK TIME: 15 MIN

INGREDIENTS

Step 1

Gather all ingredients. Wash them under tap. Chop / slice as you desire.

Soak Chana Dal while you chop onion and tomato  Wash Spinach leaves and blend them raw in blender to make a smooth paste. (Don't add any water)  If you like chopped, skip blending step

Add Spinach paste, soaked chana dal, onion, tomato, salt and turmeric in a pressure cooker. Add water 1 inch high Boil for 2 whistles on full and simmer for 5 min.

Once the cooker cools off, Dal is ready and blended in light green shade from spinach. All we need is hot tempering to it.

Take a small pan and add Desi Ghee. Add Heeng, Jeera , Green Chillies and red chily powder. Add Lemon juice for tangy taste.
